Limassol Marina has received the green light from the Cypriot government, following the announcement that Camper & Nicholsons Marinas signed an operating agreement with the owners of the marina.

Located on the south coast of the island, Limassol Marina is expected to cost €350m and will be ready at the end of 2012. The marina will provide 600 berths from 8m-60m (26ft-197ft) and will be able to accommodate superyachts up to 100m (328ft).

C&N Marinas will work with Limassol Marina Ltd on the project, which will also include restaurants, villas and shops.

Earlier this month, IBI reported that the Limassol project had been called into question with regards to its environmental and social impact.
