Ferretti establishes naval design centre
Italy's Ferretti Group has established a new naval design and décor centre to support, consolidate and develop the style research for all Ferretti Group brands.
Headed by Gilberto Grassi, the new Centro Stile Ferrettigroup will comprise a team of 30 architects and designers who will liaise with other naval architects and design studios worldwide to become one of the most advanced naval design and décor centres in the world.
Centro Stile Ferrettigroup, part of Ferretti's Industrial and Advanced Yacht Technology (AYT) divisions, will be split between several of the group's production facilities. In this way, direct contact between the team and the various production phases of a yacht can be constantly co-ordinated in such a way as to determine the aesthetic features from the very first stage of design and construction.
"Achieving harmony between shape and function whilst respecting the design and production standards of nautical engineering will, therefore, be achieved by studying a layout which can satisfy the market, defining the furnishings and décor, carrying out lighting studies to assess the various environments and selecting top quality materials with the aim of making Centro Stile Ferrettigroup a leading figure in the creation of new models," says the company.
Centro Stile Ferrettigroup will also support the group's Sales Division, both when setting down a client's requirements for a yacht and during the stage in which the personalised features of the yacht are developed.
Founded by Norberto Ferretti in 1968, the Ferretti Group is a portfolio of yacht brands including Ferretti Yachts, Pershing, Itama, Bertram, Riva, Mochi Craft, CRN and Custom Line.
