Royal Falcon Fleet starts second 135ft yacht
With its first RFF135 superyacht catamaran currently being fitted out in Sweden by Kockums, Singapore-based Royal Falcon Fleet (RFF) has started work on a second build with the hull now under construction in Vietnam.
"We intend to build eight more hulls of similar design within the next three to four years and have a design for a 211ft yacht produced by Porsche Design," explains CEO, M.A. Zaman.
"The second RFF135 hull will be transported to Kockums in early 2011 with completion scheduled for a year later. The hulls represent less than five per cent of the total cost — so the work done by Kockums is a major part of the whole yacht."
"Because we are planning to build 10 almost identical yachts we will be able to deliver each one to the customer in around nine months."
The first RFF135 is due to be completed in mid-2011.
Kockums is a member of the ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems group operating three yards in Sweden and primarily building naval vessels.
