Feadship launches 67m Drizzle
Feadship has launched the 67m (220ft) Drizzle at its Koninklijke De Vries Scheepsbouw yard in Aalsmeer, Netherlands.
The twin screw motoryacht was created for clients who were inspired by the 2005 Feadship, Twizzle, of which they were the second owners.
They decided to create an entirely custom-built version — almost 12m (39ft) longer — which still preserves the beauty of the original 55m (180ft) De Voogt design.
"Taking Twizzle as the design template, it was a major challenge to retain her classic lines while extending the vessel by over 20 per cent," says Ruud Bakker from Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects. "We also added further refinements in terms of functionality, such as the central staircase.
"Drizzle contains the very latest systems and technologies, a reflection of how Feadship is consistently moving forward on every level."
She accommodates eight guests in four guest staterooms, and eighteen crew in six crew cabins; two in captain's cabin, two in first mate room and two in the first engineer's room.
Feadship is a cooperation between Koninklijke De Vries Scheepsbouw, Royal Van Lent Shipyard, and De Voogt Naval Architects.
