Four new superyacht tender contracts for Hodgdon
Hodgdon Yachts has signed two contracts to build four new superyacht tenders.
The first order is for a custom limo tender and a custom open tender for an Oceanco client. Both crafts are 11m (36ft). The contracts follows two custom tenders built for the motoryacht Seven Seas, the Oceanco Y706.
Designed by Florida-based Michael Peters Yacht Designs, the new build design and construction specifications were developed by fellow Florida firm A.J. Anderson of Wright Maritime Group.
The first tender will be shipped to The Netherlands in the autumn of 2012 followed by the second later in the year.
The MPYD limo tender design was a Showboats Design Award finalist for 2011 and features a private jet level interior, hydraulically operated lifting roof and a cruising speed for 12 guests of nearly 30kt.
The second pair of tenders are custom designs from Andrew Winch Designs (London, UK)/Hodgdon for a project at a Northern European shipyard.
At 9m (30ft) the limo tender features a retractable full coverage moon roof, guest head and 30kt cruising speed from a Volvo D-6/400 power unit.
The open tender, features a beach-able ramp to facilitate guest and beach toy deployment. Both boats are due for delivery in 2013.
