Third Vitruvius hull arrives at Picchiotti
Perini Navi Group's Picchiotti yard in La Spezia has taken delivery of the third hull in the Vitruvius series.
It arrived last week from Perini Istanbul Yildiz, which is the Group's Turkish facility.
The 73m (240ft) Picchiotti motoryacht C.2189 is the flagship of the series, which so far includes the 50m (164ft) Exuma, launched in 2010, and the 55m (180ft) Ice Class Galileo G, delivered last year.
C.2189 is being built in collaboration with Vitruvius Ltd and French naval architect and yacht designer, Philippe Briand. Parisian interior designer, Remi Tessier, is providing the indoor styling.
The superyacht will be equipped with a diesel-electric propulsion system with twin Azimuth stern pods for a maximum speed of 16.5kt. Her range at 12kt is expected to be 7,500nm.
C.2189 will stay at the Picchiotti yard for outfitting until delivery, which is scheduled for 2013.
