Yacht transport company looks to leisure market

Southampton, UK-based Premier Marine Services (PMS), which has previously concentrated its efforts in the worldwide shipment of commercial vessels on behalf of governmental agencies and commercial boatbuilders, is to offer its services to the pleasure boat market.

"There seems to be a shortage of dedicated specialised freight forwarders in the marine industry and we feel our wealth of knowledge and experience can only be of benefit to the pleasure boat industry and we have been pleasantly surprised by the immediate response from the trade" said recently appointed sales director Ian McFarlane, adding: "We have concentrated on tailoring our infrastructure to meet the rigorous demands of commercial boat builders and major equipment suppliers, therefore we are confident that we carry the right credentials for the pleasure boat market."
