Oceanair appointment
By IBI Magazine
Oceanair, a manufacturer of blinds for boats, today announced that it has appointed a new technical director to its UK operation. Mark Gibson, who has about 20 years of engineering, design and manufacturing experience, officially joined the company on July 1, and will manage the development of Oceanair's entire product range. The blinds manufacturer operates in 30 countries through a vast distribution network, and employs around 80 people from two locations on England's south coast. In November, the company will streamline its facilities by moving to a new 25,000 sq ft site in Selsey, West Sussex. Prior to joining Oceanair, Gibson was managing director of the Hatch and Portlight Division at Lewmar, the UK manufacturer of marine control systems.
