New berth facilities at Gunwharf Quays

Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth Harbour has opened a new set of restroom facilities to coincide with the arrival of 12 competing crews in the 2004/05 Global Challenge Round-the-World Yacht Race, which begins on October 3. More than 200 sailors from around the globe arrived at Gunwharf Quays last Saturday, and top-quality facilities were required for the large number of visitors to its berths.

The new facilities include both male and female cubicles with their own toilet and separate wash basin. Showers and a new launderette facility have also been provided in order to cater for the increased numbers. Separate disabled facilities are also available, as well as baby changing facilities.
