Bénéteau introduces new Antarès 6.6

By IBI Magazine

French boatbuilder Bénéteau has introduced the latest addition to its Antares range of powerboats — the 6.5m (21ft) Antarès 6.6. Equipped with a Volvo D3 110hp engine for maximum speeds of up to 20kt and cruising speeds of 14kt, the new vessel is the smallest in the Antarès range to feature an inboard engine.

Designed by the Bénéteau Power Office in collaboration with Patrice Sarrazin, the Antarès 6.6 has a semi-planing V-shaped hull for increased stability. The interior, which boasts an open plan wheelhouse and cabin, is designed in the same style as the Antarès 6.5 OB. The Antarès 6.6 will officially launch at the 2005 Southampton International Boat Show in September.

(19 July 2005)
