Walker Bay launches new website

By IBI Magazine

Walker Bay Boats has launched a new website for their RIB and inflatable lines, Genesis and Odyssey, at www.walkerbaygenesis.com.

Inspiration for the new site came from parent site www.walkerbay.com, which won the 2005 boat manufacturers and overall boating industry National Marine Manufacturers Association Web Awards.

The company carried out a flow analysis from the parent site to determine what was most important to viewers and how that could be best communicated.

Features of the site include 3D animation and pop-ups for features and construction. Products can be viewed in every size from the top, the bottom and any rotation angle, and viewers can also zoom in on features. When the cursor is over a feature, an animated image or video appears to illustrate its functionality. The same applies to construction features.

All the specifications and comparative data are available for each boat so the viewer can assess storage and engine size and passenger capacity.

Customers can get assembly instructions, owner manuals, replacement parts, warranty information and sign up for registration in the Customer Service section. If the viewer wishes to see or buy a boat, they can find the closest store in the Dealer section.

Walker Bay Boats Inc has operations in Washington, US, designers in Brittany, France and administrative offices in Vancouver, Canada.
