NMMA hires expert on water access

By IBI Magazine

The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) announced today that it had hired Dylan Jones, an attorney who specialises in water access issues.

"Protecting and improving access to America's waterways for the nation's boaters is a key piece of NMMA's government relations mission, and Dylan Jones is a visible part of our commitment to the issue," said Monita Fontaine, NMMA vice president of government relations.

Jones is a graduate of Tulane Law School with an emphasis in maritime law. He worked for six years in Congress on transportation and finance policy legislative issues. He also worked with the Seattle law firm Holmes, Weddle & Barcott, LLC.

NMMA said in its statement that it is pursuing a multi-pronged strategy and devoting considerable resources to the water access issue.
