Navionics partners with FW Murphy to offer hardware solution

By IBI Magazine

Viareggio, Italy-based Navionics has announced that FW Murphy, manufacturer of engine monitoring devices, is the latest hardware manufacturer to incorporate Navionics chart support.

HelmView is a new offering from FW Murphy and is claimed to be the first marine engine statistics and diagnostic solution to incorporate chartplotting functionality.

FW Murphy's support for Navionics Gold charts allows HelmView users to access the most accurate and detailed cartography available, providing them with the ability to use the HelmView display as a primary or back-up navigation device. HelmView is compatible with engine manufacturers who support NMEA 2000 or J1939 protocols.

Navionics charts can now be found in products from FW Murphy, Eagle, Fugawi, Furuno, Humminbird, ICOM, Lowrance, Magellan, Northstar (Brunswick New Technologies Marine Electronics) and Raymarine.
