Al Masaood to represent Rescue Tape

By IBI Magazine

Harbor Products Inc in the US has announced that Abu Dhabi's Al Masaood Marine & Engineering is to serve as the sole distributor of its self-fusing silicone Rescue Tape in the UAE. The announcement was made at this year's Dubai International Boat Show, where Rescue Tape made its official Middle Eastern debut.

"Rescue Tape was received by attendees with an overwhelming positive response, leading to successful sales and enormous dealer interest," says Beverly Elba, sales operations manager for Harbor Products Inc. "Impressive numbers of people visited the Al Masaood stand to see our product, including several high-profile sheiks and other dignitaries from the UAE."

Rescue Tape, which can be used for emergencies, all-purpose repairs and electrical wiring, is said to be the strongest and quickest fusing silicone tape on the market. It has the ability to withstand pressure up to 700 PSI, insulates 8,000V and can endure temperatures of up to 500° F. When stretched and wrapped under tension, it instantly bonds to itself, creating a water-tight seal that is resistant to oils, fuels, acids, solvents, salt water, road salt and UV rays.

"If the Dubai Boat Show is any indication of the future, the UAE could be one of our fastest growing international markets," says Ron Cordas, vice president of sales at Harbor Products Inc. "The economic boom in Dubai alone is staggering, with marine infrastructure being built here at an unprecedented rate. We're proud to be represented by the Al Masaood family of companies, the dominant power in this region. Their credibility in the marketplace is impressive, and their reach of customers is immense."
