Marine business latest stock price review

In this week's share price review our French contingent of marine companies is bolstered with the addition of both Couach and Poncin Yachts.
Couach designs, builds, and sells motoryachts from 20m-37m (66ft-121ft). The group also manufactures utility boats essentially for the military and customs market. Its net sales breakdown by activity is:
- 80.8%: construction of yachts and patrol boats;
- 19.2%: sales of second-hand boats, boat rental, and services.
Poncin Yachts specialises in the design, construction and marketing of leisure boats. The group also operates the concession of a harbour located in the department of Var (Port Pin Rolland), France. Its net sales breakdown by activity is:
- 72.8%: sale of new-build sailboats (Harmony range), catamarans (Catana), and monohull sailboats (Diva);
- 12.5%: sale of second-hand boats, mainly Catanas and Harmonys;
- 14.7%: refit and repairs, maintenance, hire of boat-moorings and security services, boat hire, and other activities.
Twin Disc has announced the merger of its Italian operations into one legal entity, Twin Disc Srl. The new entity combines Twin Disc Technodrive Srl, Twin Disc Srl, BCS Srl and BCS Service Srl.

Mitsui & Co. has announced its intention to purchase 3 per cent, or 8,596,000 shares of the total outstanding shares of Yamaha Motor Co. With the acquisition, Mitsui & Co. will become the seventh largest shareholder of Yamaha Motor. The shares to be acquired by Mitsui & Co. are currently owned by Yamaha Corporation.
French RIB manufacturer Zodiac has announced the appointment of Central Marine Services as its new UK dealer in Derbyshire.
