Peter Methven re-elected as BMF president
By IBI Magazine
Peter Methven has been re-appointed president of the British Marine Federation (BMF) following the resignation of Peters Opal chairman Brian Peters last month. Methven, who previously held the position for a period of two and a half years, will serve until June 2008 when a new candidate will be selected.
Having been in the boating industry for nearly 40 years, Methven brings with him a wealth of experience. He currently serves as managing director of Latitude 52, a UK company that provides international trade consultancy services across a broad spectrum of the industry, and is a recognised expert in the sportsboat sector.
The BMF is the trade body for the UK marine industry, representing British interests both at home and abroad. It has 1,600 members representing an industry employing more than 35,000 people in the UK.
