Superyacht UK launches careers website

By IBI Magazine

British Marine Federation association Superyacht UK today launched its new careers website, www.superyachtuk.com/careers, providing careers advice and information on recruitment and training providers.

The website has been designed to address a worldwide shortage of trained and qualified superyacht crew brought on by tremendous growth in the industry, estimated at 500 per cent in the past ten years according to a statement released by the BMF.

Alongside step-by-step guides to training and qualifications, the website takes people through the job options available within the engineering, deck and service fields, and connects users to recruitment and training resources.

"[The new website] is a great initiative from Superyacht UK and will serve many purposes, from providing support to raising the profile of the sector and encouraging new entrants," said Martin Redmayne, chairman of Superyacht UK.

Superyacht UK is one of the BMF's largest associations and is committed to supporting businesses in the UK supply chain.
