Hyde Sails names Dutch distributor

By IBI Magazine

Hyde Sails, one of the UK's largest sail-makers, has chosen ZigZagZeilen as its new distributor in the Netherlands. ZigZag, which is owned by Dutch yachtsman Bert Koeman, operates a 600sq m sail loft in Medemblik on the Ijsselmeer — one of the country's busiest sailing areas. The loft is said to boast a 200sq m cutting table and is fully equipped for all types of sail work.

"This is a key appointment for our distributor network in a very busy sailing area," says Hyde's sales and marketing director Richard Franks. "ZigZagZeilen will be able to supply their local market direct from our Cebu sail loft."

Based in Swanwick, Hampshire, Hyde Sails produces more than 40,000 sails per year from its 50,000sq ft sail loft in the Philippines. The firm supplies custom racing and cruising yachts as well as a number of OEMs such as PSE and Topper.
