SeaWide opens new distribution centre

SeaWide Distribution, a US distributor of marine and consumer electronics, is to open an east coast distribution centre in Sarasota, Florida. The new centre, which is scheduled to open on May 5, will manage product sales and support to customers in the eastern United States.
"Our sales in marine have seen double-digit growth in the last two years," says SeaWide vice president Keith Wansley. "SeaWide identified Florida and the southeast as a key market for the company and is committed to supporting growth for our dealers in this marketplace."
Founded by George Yarbro in 1975, SeaWide Marine is a family-owned wholesaler that distributes more than 16,000 products from more than 75 vendors through direct, Internet and catalogue sales. The company currently operates from three distribution centres in Costa Mesa and Murrieta, California and Seattle, Washington.
