EmpirBus names new MD and board members
By IBI Magazine
EmpirBus, a Swedish provider of decentralised power supply systems for boats, has appointed Henrik Stenström as the group's new managing director. Stenström replaces former MD Staffan Melin, who is returning to his role as consultant with Företagsstyrning Väst.
The news follows the company's recent shareholder meeting, which saw Leif Almeling, a member of the EmpirBus board since 2007, re-elected as board chairman. Almeling served as managing director of Eberspächer AB from 1995-2004 and managing director of Harris Semiconductor from 1984-1991.
Robert Carlén, founder of Företagsstyrning Väst AB, has also been re-elected as an EmpirBus board member.
Four new members of the board have also been chosen. These include Bo Callenberg, who works within the Project Department at Preem Refinery in Lysekil; Per-Egon Persson, technical manager for the Swedish Sea Rescue Sosciety (SSRS); Mats Enegren, managing director and investment manager for Start Invest; and Anders Hibell, shareholder's representative for Empir Holding and active with Empir AB as a technical advisor in various consulting roles.
A subsidiary of the Empir Holding Group in Uddevalla, Sweden, EmpirBus AB was created to develop and market the EmpirBus system — a decentralised power supply system with built-in intelligence.
