McMurdo appoints New Zealand distributor

By IBI Magazine

British emergency location beacon brand McMurdo has appointed Bright Ideas ELB Ltd to distribute its product range in New Zealand.

McMurdo says that it considers New Zealand an important market for the brand. The firm claims that safety awareness is at a high level in the country, with search and rescue authorities promoting the importance of correct equipment and procedures for outdoor activities.

Based in Auckland, Bright Ideas has been created to promote the McMurdo brand and is headed by boating enthusiast Alan Bright.

McMurdo products include personal locator beacons and NAVTEX receivers. The brand is used by organisations such as the Royal Navy and US Coastguard.
