Bella to offer Northstar chartplotters

By IBI Magazine/Lars-Åke Redéen

Navico has signed a deal with Finland's Bella Boats that will see its Northstar chartplotters offered on seven of the company's most popular boat models. The deal is available throughout the first half of 2008 and includes an outboard engine and Northstar Explorer 550 chartplotter with engine interface.

The Northstar Explorer 550 is a high capacity, 12.7cm colour screen chartplotter with several different navigation possibilities. Equipped with an engine interface, it also shows fuel consumption, how much fuel is left in the tank, range and more.

The offer is valid through Bella Boats until the end of June on the following models: the Bella 512EX, Bella 530EX, Bella 572C, Bella 621DC, Bella 600 Twin, Flipper 520 HT and Flipper 630CC.

Navico is the parent company of six well-established marine electronics brands: B&G, Eagle, Lowrance, Northstar and Simrad. The company employs some 2,500 people globally and is headquartered in Oslo, Norway.

Bella-Veneet Oy, otherwise known as Bella Boats, is Finland's leading manufacturer of fibreglass motorboats. The company has been producing boats since 1970 and currently operates from five plants across Finland. Some 70 per cent of its production is exported.
