Swedish marine safety specialist Aqualiv AB has formed a joint venture partnership with Copiax AB, Sweden's leading distributor of locking and security systems.
Under the terms of the agreement, Copiax will introduce Aqualiv's NavEye products on the Swedish locking and security market, giving Aqualiv unique access to all locksmiths and security companies across Sweden.
"We look forward to the introduction and can already notice a great interest," says Ulf Larsson, buy-in manager at Copiax.
Copiax, with a turnover of SEK 400 million, is a security products wholesaler with around 9,000 security items in stock and delivery to installers throughout Sweden. Other well-known brands handled by the company are Assa-Abloy, Dorma, Kaba, Bewator and more.
Aqualiv develops and manufactures safety products under the brand names NavEye and Mobwatcher. NavEye products are based on GSM/GPS technology and are mainly used for positioning, surveillance and personal alarms, while Mobwatcher is a patented man-over-board system in combination with an approved start locking.
