Marine business latest stock price review

Bιnιteau posts a 23.9 per cent increase in like-for-like operating income for the six months ended February 29, 2008, totalling 40.4 million. Like-for-like sales grew by 9.8 per cent to 447.6 million, and consolidated net income grew by 38.4 per cent to 29.7 million compared to the same period last year. Click here for the full story.

West Marine reports net sales of US$113.3 million for its quarter ended March 31, 2007, compared to net sales of US$125.8 million a year ago. Same-store sales decreased 9.4 per cent compared to the same quarter a year ago. West Marine also reported a net loss of US$17.6 million, compared to a net loss of US$11.3 million a year ago.
