Parker Poland expands RIB facility
By IBI Magazine
Parker Poland has completed the construction of a new 1,800sq m production hall at its Ostróda plant near Warsaw.
The new hall has led to the recent launch of two new models in the Parker RIB range — the Arrow sports cabin (pictured) and the Parker Interceptor. It has also led to a 25 per cent increase in the number of staff employed at the yard, as the company strives to meet the demands of a full order book.
The new Parker Arrow is a 9.7m (32ft) sports cabin RIB that can accommodate up to eight passengers. It is based on the Parker 1000 Baltic hull, and is powered by twin Mercury Verado outboards or twin Cummins sterndrive configurations.
Parker says that it can now build up to 30 of these RIBs per year and has already taken several orders. Its first model was recently delivered to a client from Poland.
Designed by British naval architect Colin Sylwester, the Parker Interceptor is a 16m (52ft) offshore RIB that is powered by twin Cummins QSM 111 engines coupled with Hamilton jets. The first two units are currently being operated in Varna and Burgas in Bulgaria by the Search and Rescue unit of the Bulgarian Maritime Administration.
Headquartered in Czosnów, Warsaw, Parker Poland manufactures deep-V rigid inflatable boats for leisure or commercial use. The company is also an importer and distributor for a number of leading marine brands, including Mercury, Verado, Vetus, Quicksilver, Northstar and more.
