Dometic receives safety certification

By IBI Magazine

Dometic Environmental Corporation in the US has received electrical safety certification from Energy Safe Victoria for the Dometic CR-series line of marine refrigerators. The Regulatory Compliance Mark (RCM) can now be applied, signifying that the products meet both electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements in Australia and New Zealand.

"This approval was truly a global effort," says Ken Taranto, vice president of galley and aftermarket sales for Dometic Environmental. "Our factory in Asia and our engineers and operations centres in the US and Australia all worked together to ensure our refrigerators were compliant with Australian and New Zealand standards."

Headquartered in Pompano Beach, Florida, Dometic Environment Corporation markets its products under the Dometic, Cruisair, Marine Air Systems, Grunert and Sentry brand names. The company also has operations in Richmond, Virginia, and service facilities worldwide.
