Marina conference seeks presentations

By IBI Magazine

Organisers of The International Marina & Boatyard Conference (IMBC) said that they are looking for topical presentations and discussions for the conference, which takes place January 25-28, 2009 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The conference is produced by the Association of Marina Industries (AMI) and the American Boat Builders & Repairers Association (ABBRA).

"We spend a great deal of time on the content portion of the conference and we want to be sure it speaks to our industry," said Jim Frye, AMI chair and president. "In order to do that, we need to hear from marina owners and operators, as well as boat repair and service yards."

Frye said that the presentations must be pertinent to IMBC's audience. They include marina-industry professionals, Certified Marina Managers, potential Certified Marina Managers, other marina operators, and boat repairers. He said that information should be timely, informative, and educational without including company or product promotions. Deadline for submissions is June 9, 2008. There is more information on www.marinaassociation.org/imbc.
