AIMEX will lead delegation to Korea boat show

By IBI Magazine

AIMEX, the Australian International Marine Export Group, will lead a group of 14 Australian companies to the first edition of the Korea International Boat Show, taking place at Hwaseong City in GyeongGi Province from June 11-15.

The delegation will include Bellingham Marine Australia, Riviera Marine, Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and Sunrunner.

Chief executive of AIMEX Mary Anne Edwards said a strong contingent of Australian marine exporters was eager to take the opportunity to view this market.

"This is a new emerging market within the international leisure boating arena," said Edwards. "The Korean economy is now the 11th strongest in the world with fast growing consumer discretionary spending catching up with leading Asian economic regions such as Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong."

GyeongGi Province has US$200m to spend on marina projects, marine festivals and boat shows.
