Marine business latest stock price review

Brunswick Corp is to stop manufacturing four of its Bluewater Marine brands Sea Pro, Sea Boss, Palmetto and Laguna. It also plans to close the facility in Newberry, South Carolina that produces these brands by the end of June. About 175 workers will be affected. Click here for the full story.
Fountain Powerboat Industries reports a 13.7 per cent decline in sales for its third fiscal quarter ended March 31, 2008. The high-performance builder posted sales of US$14.2 million for the quarter compared to $16.5 million a year ago. The company's net loss for the quarter narrowed to US$1.96 million or US $3.87 million for the same period a year ago. Click here for the full story.
The Rodriguez Group reports that sales for the first half of the year ended March 31, 2008 dropped by 11.9 per cent to 177 million compared to the same period a year ago. A statement noted that a steep decline in used boat sales caused the drop in sales. Click here for the full story.
