CJR to supply Numarine

By IBI Magazine

British firm CJR Propulsion has signed a contract with Turkish yacht builder Numarine to design and manufacture stern gear for all of its yachts.

CJR will supply Numarine models with its custom M-R-K propellers. CJR's design team is also working closely with Numarine engineers to improve the shaftline.

Istanbul-based Numarine is adopting CJR's stern gear as part of the Turkish yard's goal to produce lightweight yachts that achieve higher performance with smaller engines.

"We are continually looking to raise the bar in terms of performance and refinement in order to give our customers outstanding value for their money," says general manager of Numarine Rob Billington.

Based in Southampton, south England, CJR Propulsion has four work centres covering 38,000sq ft and has been producing propulsion for 75 years.

Founded in 2002, Numarine builds 50 yachts from 55ft-102ft (18m-31m) per year from its 25,000sq m facility.
