IGY names new regional finance director

New York-headquartered marina and yachting destination owner and manager Island Global Yachting (IGY) has appointed Karunakaran Prajosh as regional finance director for the Middle East and Europe.
Prajosh will be responsible for the company's finance department within the Middle East, which will oversee more than 20 marina projects currently in the design, development and operational stages in the UAE, as well as additional projects across Europe.
Prior to joining IGY, Prajosh was finance manager for Overseas Ast Co, a marine and mechanical construction company. He was also the driving force behind start-up company Desert Palm, where he established the finance and accounts department.
IGY is the exclusive marina developer for all of Nakheel's coastline based developments, including Palm Jumeirah, Palm Jebel Ali, Palm Deira and The World. Founded in 2005, IGY focuses on acquiring, controlling and/or servicing luxury-yacht marinas and the surrounding upland real estate properties.
