RTC to import Elan sailboats
By IBI Magazine/Lars-Åke Redéen
RTC Båtkontakten AB in Stockholm is the new Swedish importer of Elan Marine sailboats after Gothenburg-based Knape Marin AB filed for bankruptcy earlier this year. RTC, which also serves as an official importer of Grand Soleil and a dealer for Poland's Delphia Yachts, has entered into a sales and distribution partnership with Elan.
"Elan fits very well in our mix of sailboats," says part-owner Mats Runström, who is also responsible for sales of new boats at RTC. "Elan's high quality in combination with design and good sailing performance is highly appreciated in the Nordic region. The brand is also very well known."
"We are pleased to appoint RTC as our new distributor on the Swedish market," says Uros Jaklic, sales and marketing director of Elan Marine. "Sweden represents an important market for us, since our boats are highly developed and provide standards and features that meet the needs and expectations of the clients in the northern part of Europe."
In summer 2008, Elan launched the new 380 Performance, which follows the same concept as the previous models E340, E410 and E450.
