Seatec to offer two Qualitec awards

By IBI Magazine

CarraraFiere, organiser of the annual Seatec exhibition in Carrara, Italy, is to hand out two Qualitec awards at next year's show — one for technology and one for design.

Both awards (the Qualitec Technology Award for innovative technology and the Qualitec Design Award for ornaments and furnishings) aim to identify companies that have made a substantial contribution to the development and innovation of the industry, by way of new services and/or products with special technological characteristics and functional and aesthetic qualities.

By giving the award a new look, the Seatec/CarraraFiere scientific committee has extended participation in the Qualitec Design Award to all companies exhibiting components and furnishings, inviting them to enter the most representative products from their serial production.

To enter the competition free-of-charge, complete and return the form that can be downloaded from the exhibitors area of the Seatec website (www.sea-tec.it) by December 15, 2008.

Now in its seventh year, Seatec 2009, the international exhibition of technology, subcontracting and design for boats, yachts and ships, will be held at Italy's Marina di Carrara Exhibition Centre from February 5-7, 2009.

(19 September 2008)
