Sant Carles Marina boats arrive
By IBI Magazine/Motor Boat & Yachting
The first official consignment of boats has been transported to MDL's new Spanish marina, Sant Carles in Catalonia.
The first phase of the new site opened this summer as part of a new initiative by the UK-based marina operator in southern Spain.
Ten boats, ranging from 8m-17m (26ft-56ft), departed from Southampton Docks carried by Premier Shipping & Packing (PSP), during the PSP Southampton Boat Show in September.
Sant Carles berth-holders benefit from preferential rates for boat transportation with PSP.
"Four-year berthing package customers also benefit from these preferential rates for boat transportation," says MDL.
"This package offers customers the chance to sample the Mediterranean and budget more easily as rates are fixed for the four-year period. At the end of the package, customers returning to the UK also have the comfort of knowing they will be guaranteed a berth at an MDL marina. For existing MDL berth holders, they could even return to their original berth."
Sant Carles Marina is located within a large navigable lagoon at the edge of the town of Sant Carles de la Rąpita.
The pontoons are fully serviced with water and electricity. Customers benefit from 24-hour, seven days a week staffing and security from experienced and trained staff. Other services will include a boatyard with 75-tonne travel lift, crane, pump-out facilities, fuel station, Wi-Fi and more.
