Cantieri Rodriquez 'to be sold'

By IBI Magazine

The Immsi group is negotiating the sale of Rodriquez yards, which build and market yachts up to superyacht size as well as ferries and defence vessels, according to a report on Italian newswire ANSA.

The newswire says that possible buyers include Italian boatbuilding group Baglietto and the Sultanate of Omam, according to reports in Italian newspaper Gazetta del Sud.

Rodriquez Cantieri Navali Spa has five production sites — four in Italy and one in Brazil — and directly controls yacht building companies Rodriquez Yachts and Conam Spa among other operations.

The Rodriquez Group has been managed by RCN Finanzaria Spa under the control of Immsi Spa since May 2004. Immsi is a holding group of over 50 companies involved principally in industry, shipbuilding and real estate.
