Peters & May announces strategic partnership

The UK's Peters & May has entered into a strategic partnership in South East Asia with the appointment of LAP Marine as its exclusive agent for Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.

Founded in 1998, LAP Marine is headquartered in Singapore and is said to be one of the most established freight-forwarding providers in Malaysia. While undertaking ongoing and future Peters & May business, the company will trade as Peters & May in South East Asia.

"This appointment follows years of consistent working practices and excellent relations between the two companies and will enhance both business' offerings," says
Jim Than of LAP Marine. "We look forward to further developing the Peters & May brand and position, with LAP Marine being in a unique situation to provide exemplary logistics' solutions to the South East Asian region."

Peters & May has over 30 years' experience in the provision of marine logistics and offers global boat transportation, freight forwarding and yacht racing logistics via air, road, rail and sea from a global network of 12 offices and numerous exclusive agencies. The company ships 8,000 vessels through more than 150 ports in over 60 countries.

Peters & May has also revealed that it has chosen Saltwater PR to handle its global public relations in the leisure, commercial and superyacht sectors.
