Maretron appoints Danish distributor

By IBI Magazine

Maretron, a US-based supplier of NMEA 2000 marine electronics, has chosen Lyngaa Marine as its national distributor for Denmark.

"Denmark has always been close to my heart having lived there during my years of managing Raytheon Marine Europe," says Larry Anderson, VP of sales and marketing at Maretron. "We are pleased to bring on board a company as capable as Lyngaa Marine with their extensive background in working with boatbuilders and chandleries."

The latest agreement is part of Maretron's strategy for Europe to appoint "classical" country distributors that would develop a sales and technical support capability located within the geographic market they were to serve.

Maretron designs and manufactures marine electronics for recreational and commercial boating. Its products are designed to the open industry NMEA 2000 standard, which allows electronic equipment from different manufacturers to network and share information throughout the vessel.
