Skipper Bud's opens second "repo center" to handle larger boats

By IBI Magazine

Skipper Bud's, one of the largest boat dealers in the US Midwest, has opened a second Midwest Marine Repo Center in Marblehead, Ohio. Like the first center in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the Ohio site will be a liquidation center for repossessed boats from across the US. Skipper Bud's said the Ohio center would handle larger boats.

Skipper Bud's said it has doubled year-over-year sales at the Oshkosh facility, and only 15 units remain of the original 150 boats that went on sale in the spring. A statement noted that dealers have also purchased inventory from the Repo Center at "significantly reduced rates."

The Midwest Marine Repo Center in Ohio has boats from 16ft. to 60ft. LOA. "The new location serves as a more convenient distribution center for larger product coming from the immediate market and from dealers on the East coast," said the statement.
