Outer Reef teams up with Oceanstyle

By IBI Magazine

US boatbuilder Outer Reef Yachts has revealed that its recently established European division, Outer Reef Yachts-Europe, is now working in conjunction with UK-based brokerage firm Oceanstyle Yachting to promote the company's vessels in Europe.

With offices in Pall Mall London, Monaco and Palma, Oceanstyle will assist with sales throughout these territories with the support of both Outer Reef Yachts Europe and the Outer Reef design and technical department in Ft Lauderdale, Florida.

"Our goal is to bring to the European market not only the finest long-distance cruising yachts currently available, but a network of premier sales and services centres within Europe in order to support our customers wherever they cruise," says Trevor de Faoite, director of sales at Outer Reef Yachts-Europe. "This is a new concept for clients of this style of yacht. Prior to Outer Reef Yachts' availability in the EU, owners have had to liaise remotely with a dealer who represented the entire EU market for a particular brand."

Outer Reef Yachts-Europe has service and technical centres as well as sales offices in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the UK, France, Italy and Palma. Several more offices are expected to join in 2010. "By 2011 we will have the largest premier network within Europe of any long-distance semi-displacement builder," de Faoite adds.

Since its launch into the European market at the Düsseldorf Boat Show in 2009, Outer Reef Yachts-Europe has several yachts in build - all of which are bound for the EU market during 2010.
