Spanish yard to expand superyacht service

By IBI Magazine

Atollvic Shipyard, a specialist in the construction of custom sail and motoryachts in steel or aluminium, is extending its facilities so that it can offer more services and capacity to the superyacht industry.

Located in Vigo on the north-west coast of Spain, Atollvic's yard currently consists of two covered sheds and it's the larger of these, currently 55m long, that Atollvic plans to extend by a further 20m. Atollvic has planning permission and is now compiling quotes for the work. The planned extension will enable the yard to fundamentally enhance its offering, with accommodation for vessels up to 70 metres in length.

Marco Villar, Yard Director of Atollvic, says: "Atollvic is committed to offering the superyacht industry an exemplary set of facilities and services at our strategic location on the north-west coast of Spain. By extending our facilities in this way, we will be able to repair and build the kind of large craft the market now demands.

Founded in 2006 Atollvic is part of Grupo Vicalsa, a group of companies providing the technical and logistic support needed to design and build the most complex custom yachts.
