Pedro-Boat appoints UK dealer

Pedro-Boat, a Dutch manufacturer of steel-hulled motorcruisers, has appointed Global Yachts as its new Cantia dealer in the UK.
Located in Hamble Point Marina, Southampton, Global Yachts has been active in the brokerage of motor and sailing boats for several years. The company, which is headed by managing director Mark Chapman, already serves as a dealer of Trusty Motor Boats, Midget Yachts and Degerö Yachts.
"Global Yachts has experience with the predecessor of the Cantia, the Kent, for which they were dealer in the past," says Ivar van der Leij, marketing manager at Pedro-Boat. "Therefore, they know the market for this boat in the UK very well."
Founded in 1973, Pedro-Boat is one of Europe's leading manufacturers of cabin cruisers up to 15m (49ft). The Cantia 28 Cabin Cruiser, which was introduced last year, will make its first UK appearance at the 2010 Southampton Boat Show in September.
