Earl Bentz to stay with Triton

By IBI Magazine

Fishing Holdings LLC, which yesterday acquired Triton Boats from Brunswick Corp, said that Triton founder Earl Bentz will continue to oversee the brand. A statement said several Triton executives and sales managers will continue to lead Triton from its Tennessee office.

Brunswick yesterday announced Triton would move production to Flippin, Arkansas, where Fishing Holdings other fish boat brands, Ranger and Stratos, are manufactured.

"This move creates an exciting opportunity to reenergize the Triton brand. As we move ahead we will look to our roots and to our dedication to the fishing community on which the Triton brand was founded," said Bentz in the statement.

Triton fiberglass boats will be built in Flippin starting in the fall of 2010. Brunswick will continue to manufacture Triton aluminum boats under a license agreement.
