Dutch sailboat builder Contest Yachts has announced that the new flybridge version of its 52MC model, the first motoryacht model in its portfolio, will debut at this year’s HISWA in-water show in September.
Created in cooperation with designer Georg Nissen and Vripack Naval Architects, and with an interior from Wetzels Brown Partners, “the 52MC motoryacht seamlessly amalgamated the builder’s core values: performance, quality, comfort and design”, reads a statement.
The Contest 52MC Flybridge builds on these strengths and adds a flair of its own. The yacht has a large upper deck and a steering station, easily accessed from below via a stylish spiral staircase. The spacious open cockpit at saloon level is doubled by a flybridge, providing comfortable spaces to enjoy the sun or the shade. And the streamlined design of the flybridge allows the height to be limited to a modest 3.74 metres, making for a truly graceful silhouette.
In addition to the Flybridge edition, the Contest 52MC is available in three versions: original 52MC with a height of 2.88 m; Open Sport with a height of 2.88 m; and Raised Steering with a height of 3.45 m.
The first 52MC motoryacht was exhibited at last year’s HISWA Amsterdam in-water Boat Show.
