New 10m sailing yacht is now in production with the first unit being launched and delivered in early 2017.

Venice-based boatbuilder Italia Yachts has expanded its product line with the new Italia 9.98 Club. The new 10m sailing yacht is now in production with the first unit being launched and delivered in early 2017.

The new model expands the company’s current portfolio to five models. In addition to the new 9.99 Club, Italia Yachts produces performance and cruising sailing yachts ranging from 10m to 16m.

A closer look at the new Italia 9.98 Club reveals a double wheel steering system that replaces the racing tiller.

The new model also features a sleek, aggressive bowsprit extends the bow. Teak in the cockpit softens her design, the boatbuilder claims.

New design

The Italia 9.98 Club is an evolution of the Italia 9.98 Fuoriserie, a boat which has dominated the last two racing seasons under the ORC system.

Commenting on the new model, Italia Yachts says: “Following the great success of the Italia 9.98 Fuoriserie, Italia yachts have reinterpreted the original vision, bringing design changes to make sailing more refined even when cruising. The result is a fast, fun boat suited to excel in club racing, but equally at home cruising coastal waters and eating up the miles.”

The addition of the large bowsprit facilitates the use of off wind sails that don’t require a spinnaker pole and is the ideal location for additional furling setups such as a code 0.

Inside, yacht cabinets have been added to both the saloon and forecabin increasing storage space and further enhancing the interior.

The standard equipment incorporates a refrigerator and 2-burner stove with oven. The boatbuilder says there is an extensive list of options that can enhance the yacht even more.
