Australia’s cruiser-builder Maritimo is set to hit $100,000 in funds raised for charity in a 12-month campaign that stands on the back of its philanthropic and promotion program launched in July last year.
The boat manufacturer has been providing five star, VIP weekend packages which include a once in a lifetime ride in the Maritimo Racing’s World Championship Winning Offshore powerboat as auction prizes at a number of high profile events.
Maritimo’s sales and marketing manager, Greg Haines, said the adrenalin packed ultimate prize package weekends have raised $57,000 in recent months at two events.
“By the time we do the Star Ball again on July 12 we should be well above $100,000 raised for the year which is a fantastic result,” he said.
Maritimo will be active again at the Starlight Foundation’s annual Star Ball at the Star City Casino in Sydney on July 12, which will be exactly one year since it launched its philanthropy program at the same event.
