The Michigan Boating Industries Association (MBIA) has announced that dates for the 2014 Boating Outdoor Festival have changed to a week earlier. The show will be held from 11-14 September at Lake St. Clair Metropark.
Boat Show manager Nicki Polan explains: “When these dates became available we felt it was an opportunity to increase our chances of nicer weather and bring the Festival to Harrison Township a week closer to the season. Our advisory committee also felt it was a positive move.”
The Boating & Outdoor Festival is in its fifth year of bringing hundreds of boats (power and sail) paired with accessories and other outdoor recreation products to the marina at Lake St. Clair Metropark each fall.
This year the Festival showcases 115 exhibitors, and organisers expect more than 12,000 visitors. In 2013, the show added floating docks to expand the event into the marina basin, adding more boats to see and purchase.
“We already have demand for additional docks to expand the show again,” said Polan. “We’re gearing up for another successful year.”
