New 37-metre motoryacht Mythos

Riva, the Italian motoryacht brand by Ferretti Group,  has presented its new flagship 122’ Mythos. The 37-metre yacht is the first in the portfolio to be built in aluminium.

Commenting on the launch, Alberto Galassi, Ferretti Group’s CEO, said:  “We believe that with everybody’s efforts within the Ferretti Group, we will succeed in taking this ‘newborn’ and the Riva brand as a whole to even higher goals, while getting stronger in all our loyal markets and penetrating new emerging ones. Indeed, while Riva is an icon of Made in Italy production, ingenious design, production excellence, and much appreciated style, from now on the 122’ Mythos will be its standard-bearer.”

The 122’ Mythos draws inspiration from the 86’ Domino. The yacht is the outcome of the collaboration between yacht Designer Mauro Micheli – the founder, together with Sergio Beretta, of Officina Italiana Design (which designs Riva’s entire range), AYT&D – Advanced Yacht Technology & Design, Ferretti Group’s research, style and product development centre, and the Interior Design and Technical Department of CRN, which was in charge of the interior and naval project development.

The first 122’ Mythos features the optional 3-cabin version, specially requested by its owner. The standard version proposed by the shipyard has four cabins, and an additional optional layout with five cabins is also available.

The outdoor areas of Riva 122’ Mythos are striking for its elegance, spaciousness, and functional layout. The stern cockpit includes two large L-shaped sun pads, coffee tables and a teak and steel dining table with seating for up to 10 people. From the cockpit access can be gained to the aft swimming platform, which separates the two garage doors. The garage can fit a more than 5-metre tender and a jet-ski on the right-hand side. A special electrical-hydraulic platform has also been installed, allowing for safe diving into the sea from the aft platform and easily launching of the water toys.

The upper deck can be accessed from the cockpit using an external staircase.

The aluminium planning hull can reach top recorded speed of 28,5  and a cruising speed of 26 knots , thanks to two MTU 12 V 4000 M 93L, 3510 mhp engines.

The builder says significant investments have been made for environmental impact reduction in the new design for Mythos’, and RINA has certified the new Riva flagship with the “Green Plus’ class.
