Shipman in Slovenia has announced the launch of Shipman 59. The new 18.90-metre carbon yacht follows on the builder’s concept of short-handed dynamic blue water cruiser.
The yacht has been designed and conceived by the Shipman original design team J&J, but also complimented by naval architect Guillaume and Doug Peterson, an experienced guru of sailing yachts hydrodynamics.
Amongst is features, Shipman 59 comes with a 14 kW hybrid drive and a 7 Kw generator on the shaft, coupled to 1.4 kW solar panels. The builder says this boat will be able to cruise in total silence and without any emissions. The solar panels will recharge the Lithium battery fully in 2 days, enabling a range of up to 20 Nm. The solar panels are also extending the anchor times, allowing the refrigeration, lights and entertainment to be running for days at a time.
The new Shipman 59 will be officially presented to the market at the Yachting Festival in Cannes.
