Lagoon Seventy 8 is the largest model to be built by the French catamaran specialist. The new model will be delivered to its owner in Malaysia.
Simpson Marine in Hong Kong has announced the sale of a Seventy 7 and Seventy 8, two of Lagoon’s newest and largest models.
Sailing yacht Lagoon Seventy 7 is currently in build whereas the Seventy 8 is in the drawing board. The sailing cat will be delivered to its owner in Singapore and the Seventy 8 motoryacht to Malaysia. Both are scheduled for arrival in 2018.
Lagoon has delivered over 3,600 yachts during its 30 years history of which over 100 have been sold by Simpson Marine into Asia, the company claims.
With 23m LOA, the Seventy 7 is Lagoon’s largest sailing catamaran project to date and will be launched at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2016.
She is a versatile yacht designed for easy day passage handling or completing an Atlantic crossing.
Simpson Marine says that the elegance and beauty of the Lagoon Seventy 8 was the reason an existing Lagoon 620 owner decided to trade up to enjoy 40% more space and many other features. The Seventy 8 motoryacht will be ready in 2018.
Simpson Marine has been represented Lagoon continuously since 1988 and has sold into Asia over 100 catamarans in this time.
At the July Lagoon dealer’s conference, Simpson Marine was awarded “2015 World 2nd distributor” plus “2016 Asia Best distributor”.
French boatbuilder Lagoon produces sailing and power catamaran ranging from 38ft-52ft. Lagoon also produces bespoke yachts under the Lagoon Custom line. These 50ft-plus models are built at CNB shipyard.
