Navigation system specialist Team Italia has announced that motoryacht builder Wider has teamed up with the firm for the development of a new bridge for Wider 150 superyacht Genesi.
From the very beginning, the project for this 150-footer was devised and developed giving special importance to the bridge and to the concept of navigation.
Team Italia’s I-Bridge navigation system will be fitted onboard Genesi featuring a unique design and integration, the company claims.
The bridge’s console will enable users to choose from a variety of settings depending on the navigation context in which they find themselves. The use of mecha-tronic technologies which have been specially studied and designed for this superyacht, makes this possible, Team Italia explains in a statement.
Besides contextualisation of the navigation equipment for the various possible scenarios (Deep sea/bluewater, approaching, mooring, docking) the configuration also provides for variations in the ergonomic settings of the entire dashboard from linear to C shape. User friendliness and integration are given by Team Italia’s Multicontrol System.
The complexity of the project was dealt with through in-house pre-building and pre-mounting, making it possible to implement a series of functions and solutions during the work.
The bridge was built at the Team Italia Development Centre without hindering the onboard production processes.
